I’ve been helping people in my working life, one way or another, for the last 25 years, and I’ve come to believe that we are happiest when we are fulfilling our potential. What I’ve also found is that when I help people fulfil on their potential then that fulfils something in me.
In that time I’ve learned that self-awareness about what will make you happy is key. It’s really important for us to get to know ourselves. That will lead to us understanding what we really want for our lives – to know what will fulfil us and what will make us happy; rather than seeking things from outside of ourselves to fulfil us.
When we know what we want we can try different things and see what helps us move towards it. For example, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, 11 years ago I tried mindfulness. I’m fully recovered, but I’ve discovered that mindfulness helps me stay well and happy by enabling me to notice when I feel upset, or tired or stressed. It enables me to pause, and then to respond purposefully to things that happen in my life, instead of just reacting. The practices I have put in place over the years help me show up as the person I want to be. I’m not there yet, of course – it’s not a destination; it’s a journey that lasts the whole of our lives! What I love now is helping others decide what they want their journey to look like, and helping them along the way. How do you begin? Well, I discovered that all you have to do to be on this journey is to just go “okay, I’m going to try this”, and take it from there.
I currently run monthly Fresh Air Friday sessions in Cardiff. We come together in a small group to walk and explore 12 themes that we know make a difference to our mental and emotional wellbeing. I also run 12-week Fresh Air Fridays programmes over 12 weeks. On both of these programmes people find that their relationships, wellbeing and general level of happiness improve, and that the positive habits we help them form enable them to create the life they want.
I believe that we’re all on a journey together and love to help create a real sense of community and connection. I have faith in human nature; people are intrinsically good and we all have the resources within us to cope with the challenges that we’re facing. Sometimes, of course, we can’t see the wood from the trees, and so what we do at Fresh Air Fridays is help people access their own resources and come to their own solutions, sometimes finding or creating new ideas and approaches that haven’t been obvious to them before.
I believe we all have the resources and expertise to generate our own solutions – and sometimes we get stuck, have change thrust upon us, or any number of other reasons that have us feel less than joyful or unfulfilled.
You know you want something else; you may not know what it is yet but you know it’s ‘not this’. I can help you gain vision and clarity, become unstuck or find your way to manage change.

I found Rose following the break-up of a controlling relationship. At that time I felt devastated. I wanted to return to it! I thought there was something wrong with me and found Rose to make me “good enough”.
Some part of me knew this was wrong and by the time I first spoke to Rose, I’d decided that I needed to protect myself and that it was time to live my best life!
This woman is magic! I don’t know what happened in these sessions, but my emotional wellbeing and strength have improved beyond recognition. I saw Rose for 7 months. During this time and following it, many family and friends have commented on the change in me. I trust myself to do what is right for me. I know I have the power and strength to support my mental health and make decisions that support my best life!
If you are considering a life coach, do it! I saw Rose from June until January. I cannot recommend her enough. She has integrity and a special aura that makes you feel safe and empowered. All of you is welcome with her. I will be forever grateful to Rose and she will always have a special place in my heart.

When I was struggling with health issues, Rose gave me the confidence to look at my pain and my thoughts associated with it. I was finding the emotional and mental effects of sciatica pain disruptive and draining. Rose guided me on a visual body wisdom session which helped me to explore my body from the inside and I gained insights about my resistance to accepting love and self-compassion.
This was a powerful intervention. I became aware that I was rejecting my body as it wasn’t working for me and the experience helped me to value my body. In another session we focused on my beliefs around meeting my own needs versus meeting others. I came away from this session with a word that has served me very well since then… discernment. I now ask myself “what is good for me?”
Rose has an affirming and gentle approach which nurtured and nourished me, I discovered that she is a natural healer.
